About Laurie
As an Executive Coach, I work with individuals and teams from all walks of life, professional aspirations and levels of leadership. My nearly 20 years of corporate experience, successes and failures are what helps me relate to each of my coaching clients individually. My career began doing Marketing and Public Relations in entrepreneurial start-up environments and before long, I was leading PR and Corporate Communications for some of the top global tech brands at both corporate and agency levels.
My experience working with leaders at various stages of success, growth, crisis and transition taught me the value of listening intently, and engaging authentically and with purpose. A large part of my career was spent helping senior executives (and companies) balance the opportunities and responsibilities of market leadership, as well as the perils of public crisis. Beyond the high profile work, I have always taken great satisfaction in supporting new leaders as they find their genuine style, as well as collaborating within organizations to help them empower and leverage talent.
A world traveler and lover of cheese, chocolate and wine, I am also dedicated to a balanced lifestyle of health and fitness. I love the great outdoors, and exploring (for better or worse) new culinary creations. I dabble in amateur photography, truly enjoy cycling, running and hiking, and am a newly minted Obstacle Course Racer – a challenge that also strengthens my mental and physical agility. Originally from Canada, I have enjoyed living and working in Finland, Texas, California and am now loving life in New York.
